Microsoft's overhauled Photos app for Windows 11 combines images from multiple sources into a single interface with a faster editor and viewer.
Microsoft has redesigned its Photos app for Windows 11, merging photos and videos from your PC, OneDrive, and iCloud into one location. The update eliminates the need to switch between apps or devices when managing your image library.
The new editor has been rebuilt and launches 25 percent faster, with tools organized into Crop, Enhance, Repair, and Stylize categories. It preserves HDR quality during editing and allows you to edit and save HEIC and WebP images without changing their original format. The viewer launches 15 percent faster and opens HEIC images up to 30 percent faster.
