Variety has learned that Buscemi will star in the series adaptation of the hit video game franchise alongside star and co-creator Rob Mac and previously announced cast member Lizzy Caplan . The series was first reported to be set up at FX in November 2025 from creators Noah Hawley and Mac.
Exact plot and character details remain under wraps, but the series will follow an anthology format like the “Far Cry” video games and feature a different cast and setting each season. In television, Buscemi has received Emmy nominations for appearing in and directing “The Sopranos” as well as for his work on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire.” He won the Emmy for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series for “Park Bench with Steve Buscemi” in 2016.
