Digital Realty is providing $1,000 annual utility and property tax credits to De Soto households for a decade to gain support for a planned 1,400-acre facility.
Digital Realty, a $67 billion Austin-based real estate company, is offering every household in De Soto, Kansas, $1,000 in annual utility and property tax credits over 10 years. The initiative is part of a broader $20 million community investment tied to a proposed data center project.
The facility will initially cover 280 acres, expanding to 1,400 acres eventually. Digital Realty projects the development will create 250 permanent jobs for local suppliers and contractors, plus thousands of temporary construction positions. The company serves major clients including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and Nvidia.
