Fox Corp. and Roku shareholders voted Wednesday to approve Fox's $22 billion purchase of the streaming platform, with Fox shareholders backing the deal at 99.9%.
Shareholders of both Fox Corp. and Roku voted Wednesday to approve Fox's $22 billion acquisition of the streaming-video platform. Fox shareholders voted 99.9% in favor, with 197.4 million votes for the agreement, according to an SEC filing. Official vote tallies from Roku's shareholders meeting are expected to be filed with the SEC soon.
In June, Fox announced it would purchase Roku for $160 per share, paying approximately $14.2 billion in cash with the remainder in Fox Class A common stock. Fox expects the acquisition to close in the first half of 2027, pending approval from the Justice Department and other regulators. The DOJ issued a second request for documents, extending the waiting period by 30 days.
