Mattel announced a special edition Barbie doll modeled after Celine Dion's iconic 1998 Oscars performance of 'My Heart Will Go On.'
Mattel has unveiled a limited-edition Celine Dion Barbie doll as part of its Mattel Creations line. The doll recreates the Canadian singer's 1998 Oscars performance, featuring her signature hairstyle, the long-sleeved gown she wore that night, and the Heart of the Ocean necklace from the film 'Titanic.' The company announced the release on Instagram, describing the doll as both limited and legendary.
The 58-year-old Dion has experienced a remarkable career resurgence despite being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in 2022, a rare neurological disorder causing painful spasms. She returned to performing at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics opening ceremony with a rendition of Édith Piaf's 'Hymne à l'amour,' drawing emotional reactions from audiences worldwide.
