A 911 call revealed that Zach Hickerson performed CPR on actress Hayden Panettiere after she was found unconscious at her South Carolina home on August 16.

Zach Hickerson, brother of Hayden Panettiere's on-again, off-again boyfriend Brian Hickerson, called 911 and attempted CPR on the actress after discovering her unconscious at her Greenville, South Carolina residence on August 16. She was pronounced dead at the scene despite advanced cardiac life support measures.

The 36-year-old actress, known for roles in "Remember the Titans," "Heroes," and "Nashville," died from what an autopsy determined was accidental overdose. The Greenville County Coroner's Office found toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol, and quetiapine in her system.

Panettiere had publicly discussed her struggles with substance abuse, telling People magazine in 2022 that she became addicted to opioids and alcohol in her teens. Her 2026 memoir, "This Is Me: A Reckoning," detailed her experiences with addiction, abuse, postpartum depression, and recovery.
