The actor, who joined the NBC drama in Season 13 as Chief Dom Pascal, will wrap up his storyline early in the show’s upcoming season, which premieres on Oct. 7 at 9 p.m.
ET. Mulroney took a short hiatus from the program in Season 14 before reappearing in the season finale, which ended on a major cliffhanger. In the last episode, Chief Pascal was discussing the future with Severide (Taylor Kinney) when an emergency call interrupts their conversation and sends the squad to a burning warehouse.
As several firefighters rush into the building, the roof begins to collapse. While Pascal stayed outside of the fire, it’s unclear if all of the characters will make it out alive. Mulroney’s impending exit follows the news earlier this week that Joe Miñoso, an original “Chicago Fire” cast member who has played firefighter Joe Cruz across 14 seasons, will also be departing the show sometime in Season 15.
